In just a week’s time it will be systems go at London Olympia as the annual CIPD Learning and Development Show hits the capital. From the British Psychological Society to The Open University, this annual convention will once again welcome over 3,500 professionals – will you be one of them?
If so, grab a coffee and take a peep at our top tips for making the most of this year’s event.
It’s all about you
Ok, so there are over 80 learning sessions available over the two days on the 10th and 11th May. The very best ones will fill seats fast – so, before you even arrive, take a long look at the programme and pick which you’d really like to see.
Choose ones that are highly relevant, first, and select a couple that you wouldn’t normally consider for some top quality out-of-the box thinking. Have your agenda planned out and book up before you even step foot through the door.
Get talking
This year the CIPD have provided a fantastic app to help you personalise your agenda – you can use this to take full advantage of the networking opportunities available at the show.
Connect with businesses that interest you and get involved with online chats while you’re winding your way through exhibitors. And don’t forget to engage on Twitter using the show’s official hashtag #cipdLDshow too!
Did someone mention freebies?
So the show is informative and can be great for personal development, but everyone knows there’s some cracking freebies on offer. You can never have too many pens, but there are likely to be some tasty giveaways from popcorn to jelly beans, and some useful gadgets like power banks.
One thing’s for sure, there will be plenty of variety and lots of great stuff to collect. So make sure you get stuck in!
Learn about the ROI of employee training
Visiting on the Thursday? Make sure you come and see Me Learning’s CEO, Nick Richards and Ailee Towns, as they present their thoughts on the real ROI of e-learning.
They’re featuring in the Digital Learning showcase arena at 1.25pm.
If you can’t make it or want to talk to the guys about their e-learning experiences, head over to the Me Learning stand (Stand 660) for a chat. Other members of the Me Learning team are also on hand for both days, ready to show you how CPD Accredited e-learning can be paired with our CPD Tracker tool for a powerful CPD experience for learners.
