Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

When Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust were planning the implementation of their new EPR, SystmOne, they needed help to create their training strategy to ensure they catered for all learners’ needs in the right way and could plan and resource appropriately.

Me Learning worked with client and partner teams to understand the current situation and scope of the new project before making recommendations.

These recommendations covered all aspects of training such as:

  • Training needs analysis
  • Delivery formats, their uses and materials required; accessibility and inclusivity; role-based requirements; post-live support and evaluation.
  • Resources, logistics and scheduling.
  • Lessons learnt review.

This comprehensive report was used to support their broader internal business case on the requirements for implementation and adoption of the new system.

West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service

West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service is the fourth largest Service in the country and was switching to a new cloud-based control room software solution.

Working with solution provider Frequentis, Me Learning created a suite of innovative learning so staff taking emergency calls and dispatching resources to incidents were confident and competent on the new system ready for go-live.

Me Learning created:

  • A suite of digital learning which includes different learning pathways to support the main control room roles.
  • An organisation-wide awareness video to set context.
  • A train-the-trainer course to prepare instructors on some of the more complex scenarios, which it will also deliver to trainers and key operational staff.
  • Supporting training documentation.

This latest contract builds on our portfolio of experience supporting emergency services across the UK and beyond with innovative software training.

Empowering Pharma Professionals to optimise processes

When a global biopharmaceutical company introduces a new way of working, this requires meticulous planning and execution. They wanted a digital training package which would empower medical and healthcare professionals to work more collaboratively, optimise processes, and deliver exceptional care solutions to those in need.

We worked with our client to develop an innovative digital learning solution, aimed at fostering a cohesive understanding on Agile, an outcome that was in line with their transformation goals.

Technology implementation made easy at NHS trust

Digital care software users at a community healthcare trust were able to learn quickly, safely and easily thanks to a partnership between Me Learning and the software provider, The Access Group on their Electronic Patient Record solution Access Rio.

We provided fully digitised role-specific training which was used during a major technology implementation at the Trust, cutting training time by up to half, meaning learners could spend more time caring for their patients rather than away from the workplace. The training was designed for 1,200 healthcare professionals, enabling them to grasp new functionality in record time as well as practice in preparation for the new system go-live.

A major software adoption solution for technology systems

When Arden & GEM, a leading NHS Commissioning Support Unit, were in search of a solution that ensured their primary care clients had access to the skills and knowledge they need to use two common software systems, they turned to Me Learning.

The training needed to be suitable for existing staff and support new starters joining those same GP practices in the future. Arden & GEM’s trainers also wanted to remove the repetitive aspects of training delivery, so they could focus their attention on the things that needed their expertise.

We created digital learning tutorials to support the use of SystmOne and Emis Web for more than 450 primary care practices in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, Lincolnshire, and Essex, supported by Arden & GEM. This provided consistent training across the entire Arden & GEM primary care customer base, reducing pressure on its help desk and improving utilisation of its expert training resources.

Me Learning was selected as part of two separate competitive tenders, due to its innovative approach to software learning, combined with its experience in the health and care sectors, which gave them assurance that we’d help their clients achieve great outcomes.

Cutting-edge training to support system optimisation at DCHS

Derbyshire Community Health Services (DCHS) NHS Foundation Trust were looking for a learning solution to help them achieve consistent adoption of new ways of working across eight different sites for two large-scale optimisation programmes related to their SystmOne solution. The optimisations covered Therapy, Nursing and Documentation services and workstreams.

They turned to Me Learning in partnership with Channel 3 Consulting to enable them to meet tight timescales, without compromising on the quality of the learner experience. We designed, developed and delivered a blended solution comprising digital and virtual learning, which provided them an opportunity to learn new processes in a familiar environment that reflected the live system, giving them a chance to build confidence ahead of the go-live.

A positive culture shift: Enhancing performance management skills

At a leading financial institution with the largest branch network on the high street in the UK, we are working to enhance the skills of 2000 participants in the delivery of formal and informal performance management conversations. This key initiative is required to build the skills and culture in which their teams can flourish.

This pivotal training programme aims to shift the culture at the firm, including the adoption of a new set of values. The programme, which is being delivered over 14-months, is being rolled out by our team of 15 dedicated and skilled facilitators, all experienced in providing in-the-moment feedback, facilitation and roleplay.

Revolutionising Health Data Management

Three partner organisations – Channel 3 Consulting, Grant Thornton UK LLP and Me Learning – joined forces to deliver a programme of transformation work aiming to improve the way activity data is captured and used at the four main NHS providers of community services in North West London.

This has improved the accuracy and consistency of activity data available to inform key decisions affecting patients. Staff have greater understanding on why and how information is recorded and used and are spending less time on data input.

The programme, which commenced in 2022, has improved the way data is captured and used by the four trusts. Data is now recorded, reported and used consistently across all four organisations and in line with national standards.
